Thomas Benson joined Lowther Johnson as an Associate in 1994, becoming a Member in 2000. Tom provides a wide range of services to his clients in family law matters including divorce, modifications, paternity actions, name changes and adoptions. He has successfully tried numerous cases involving contested custody of children, and has procured favorable results for his clients in cases involving significant assets and property. Besides being a trial attorney, Tom also has extensive experience handling cases throughout the appeals process.

Tom also assists clients in criminal matters such as driving while intoxicated, and other driving and alcohol-related offenses. He has years of experience in handling traffic cases and dealing with drivers license issues.

In addition, Tom also represents individuals and businesses in real estate matters, landlord/tenant disputes and foreclosures. He frequently assists clients in collection cases, including matters in Probate Court.

Tom has spoken at numerous seminars and to local groups on topics ranging from judgment collection to Probate Court and has authored articles on various legal issues.
