Mathew L. Placzek joined Lowther Johnson as an Associate in 2009 after clerking with the firm during law school.  Mat handles a wide range of civil litigation matters, including general business consulting, personal injury, wrongful death, landlord-tenant, and collections.  Mat provides clients with a full range of legal services, assisting them in all stages of litigation including trials.  Mat has successfully tried numerous cases concerning landlord-tenant and collection matters and has procured favorable results in personal injury matters.  In addition to being a litigator, Mat also represents individuals and businesses in real estate matters and provides general consulting services. 

Prior to entering law school, Mat received his undergraduate degree in American Political Economy.  He frequently uses his background in economics to assist his business clients in formulating legal strategies that not only achieve positive legal results but also maximize profitability. 

Mat is a lifelong Springfield resident and takes pride in helping individuals and businesses in the local community.
